Family Reunion

A couple of weeks ago we had cause to travel for a mini family reunion. My Cousin David, who got married a couple of years ago, was going to come all the way from Japan for a visit. You may remember his wedding pictures here and pictures of his new baby here. My Aunt Louise lives up near Penticton, B.C. and was going to have a dinner for David and his family there.

It was about a 4½ hour ish drive so the girls, my Mom and I hopped in the Van and headed up. We came to an impasse when the GPS said to go one way and the road signs said to go another but we decided to play it safe and follow the road signs. Time wise I think that it was slightly longer but it was the more scenic route and I'm glad that we chose that way. We ended up taking the GPS route on the way back and that was perfect for the drive home!

We stopped along the way to take a picture of my Mom and the girls and one of me and the girls.

This the house that my Aunt rented out for the evening.

My Mom.
This is my cousin David's wife Etsuko. It's pronounced like Let's go without the "L". I shot this picture with Etsuko and their son Kai. They had only arrived the night before and were exhausted from Jet Lag.
My cousin Carolyn, whom I hadn't seen in about 10 years, has two boys named Riley and Cameron. Katie and Emily really enjoyed getting to know their second cousins!

Here's a family picture of David, Etsuko and Kai. I hadn't seen David in about 10 years either!
This is Carolyn's little girl Maria. She was so sweet! I love her hair with the balloon!

This is my other cousin Brian and his girlfriend Nicole.
David & Kai.
Carolyn and her family.

We had such a good time meeting up with friends and family that we hadn't seen in a very long time!!
