Dinner at the Olive Garden

Tonight we met friends of Gord's at the Olive Garden. These are people that Gord has met on-line on his running forums. He's known them for about three years and they meet up at different races around the Pacific Northwest. Jon is on the left and he is also known as Barefoot Jon because he runs his marathons barefoot. Crazy!! He is from Seattle and he is also a Marathon Maniac. Julia is in the middle and she is from across the Border in Langley, B.C. They are both running the Bellingham Bay Marathon tomorrow. This will be Julia's first full Marathon and Jon's 106th! (Hence the Maniac part of the equation!)
As it turned out my Auntie Deb and Uncle Ken were going to be a the Olive Garden at the same time as us and they decided that it would be the perfect opportunity to spend some time with the kids so they had their own dinner party way on the other side of the restaurant! It was then decided to take the kids home with them to spend some more time tomorrow and we will pick them up tomorrow afternoon and have dinner with them.
On the night of my birthday last year, Gord took me here for dinner and I had a Caesar. I was so impressed with the display but I didn't have my camera with me. Tonight I was able to take a picture of it. The garnishes include: celery, onion ring, red pepper ring, slice of lime, 2 green olives, 2 slices of pepperoni and a pickled small white onion. Very impressive!
And Katie had a beer!

So were you running back & forth to different parts of the restaurant? It's probably good we were there earlier in the day ... can you imagine if all your worlds collided like that? HA

The picture of the Caesar drink is great. I like Bloody Mary's so I can't wait til I get a chance to try one too.
