Laura Ingalls Wilder Day

First off, I want to say Happy Blogoversary to me!!! It has been one year (on Friday but I've been a little under the weather so this is the first time I've been able to Blog about it!!) since I started Blogging and never in a million years did I think that I would enjoy it as much as I have!

Today was our Annual Laura Ingalls Wilder day at the Pioneer Museum. The girls travel around the museum to different stations to try different things from Laura's day. They receive a cool patch at the end of the day. It was wildly sucessful this year and after a few bumps today I think all went well again this year.

Here is Emily making a yarn doll! You can see Katie's troop across the way making a different type of doll.

All the leaders met at this gals house on Wednesday to pick out our outfits for the day. This lady collects clothes from every different era and there are tons and tons of dresses to choose from. These pictures only show a small amount. Once you've picked out your dress then you move on to aprons and crinolines (large slips) and boots and bonnets!!

Here is a wedding dress from 1891.

Here's my friend De Anna posing in the dress she picked.

Happy Blogoversary! Yay for you! A year down...many to go. It is fun isn't it?

Hope you had fun at the museum today. It looked like the girls were enjoying themselves when I went back to check in with Troy!
