Katie had a unit in school where they made masks of their own faces. I think that it had something to do with their Native American section. Here is Katie and her mask. I think that they painted them when they were done. I'll have to get to the school to take a picture of the completed masterpiece.
Edited to add: Apparently it had nothing to do with their Native American Unit and it was just a fun project that they do in 5th Grade. I have added the "done" picture but I'm not so sure that it looks any less scary!!

That is such a cute pic of Katie. I have to agree though that the mask is a bit scary...need to see it finished.
I think you're right ... the finished project is a little scary too! But I have to say, I do LOVE the green!!!!!!!! :)
