Mish Mash

I must say that I'm not doing a very good job with the Meal Plan Monday this week. I started off great by getting the menu planned on Sunday before we left but it all went downhill from there. Long story short ~ Katie and Emily went to Belinda's to play with Hailey after camping. I got a reprieve from work and thought that I had the day to myself. Nice try.

Belinda called about 1:40 and said that Katie was having a hard time breathing. I said not a problem and headed off to check it out. Well, apparently they are doing construction on the Northern part of the Guide too. It was taking forever to get through the traffic but I still thought it was no big deal and that this was still one of Katie's usual breathing difficulties.

Then I got a more panicked call from Belinda wanting to know where I was at. Well, as we were trying to figure whether to call 911 or not, I was able to make my way through the traffic and get to Belinda's.

She really wasn't doing well so I got her in the car and headed to Bellingham. I figured I would try and get a hold of Madrona while I was driving and I could still call 911 if I needed to. I was able to get an emergency visit at Madrona and they took her in right away when we got there. Well, they were able to treat her very aggressively and over 2 hours later we were sent on our way to get her Meds and she was doing much better. Another hospital visit averted!!

Needless to say, by the time we were done at WalMart (pharmacy) it was too late for dinner so we met Gord at Milt's Pizza (yummmmm!).

And today my excuse is, by the time I picked up Emily at Belinda's (she spent the night so I didn't have to worry about her yesterday), it's usually worth an hour to an hour and a half conversation to pick up the kids. Don't get me wrong, I love talking to Belinda but it's just time!!! And then we had to stop at the Eyeglass place to get Emily's nose pads fixed because they broke yesterday so it was a free for all for dinner at the Clark household this evening. Grilled Cheese Sandwiches and soup for all!!!
