We were up bright and early on Saturday morning so that the girls could participate in our annual hometown Farmer's Day Parade on behalf of Destination Imagination. We had only a handful of the kids show up but they had a great time hanging out while we waited for our turn to start. The parade started at 10:30 but we didn't get our turn until about 12:10.
I found some nice poppies to take the girls' picture in front of on the way home!
Gord and I don't get an opportunity to dress up very often but later that night we were heading out on the town for our latest in the 40th birthday celebrations. It was my dear friend Monica's turn!
We went to a restaurant in Vancouver called Federico's Supper Club. It was very pricey but we had a good time. We got a four course dinner and then there was dancing afterwards. Gord and I didn't stay for too much of the dancing because it was way past our bedtime!!
Here is Monica receiving her Tiramisu birthday cake. Happy Birthday Monica!!
Here's a picture of Gord and I.
Wilco, Leanna and Colleen were also there to enjoy the fun!
And here's Leanna's sister Christina and her husband Mike.
Today when I got up I decided that I was going to tackle our Den. I've been wanting to paint for a long time but hadn't gotten up the motivation until recently. I purchased the paint a couple of weeks ago but the time wasn't right until today! My kids spent the night at their grandparents house so it seemed like the perfect time. The walls look a little light in the picture but I'm really happy with the color. It's called Nacho Chip!!
Gord's race medals finally have a home and we were able to get our new desk that we got at the DI Garage Sale off of the front porch and in it's new home!

I like the nacho chip color ... it'll be interesting to see what it looks like in "real" life though. ☺
Happy Birthday Monica ... another lady "over the hill!" HA
Is there a full-length picture of you guys all dressed up? I'd like to see the full dress!!!
